Oberstdorf is the most southern holiday resort in the Allgäu region of Germany and enjoys a first-class reputation among international winter sports fans. However, Oberstdorf is not only a winter destination, it receives just as many visitors in the summer due to the region's spectacular beauty and abundance of thriving nature reserves. With over 200km of trails, Oberstdorf and its surrounding valleys are a walking paradise. But the resort is also great for those seeking the peace and tranquillity of a wellness retreat.

If you would like to visit a different area of Germany, we also have Bremen city breaks and hotels in the Saxony region available.

This beautiful village has many things to offer year round. For example, the Oberstdorf-Kleinwalsertal ski resort is the highest ski area in the Allgäuer Alps. It features the "Nebelhorn" mountain, which has Germany's longest slope measuring 7.5 km.

Many fine golf courses are located in close proximity in the Allgäu region (e.g., Golfresort Sonnenalpe and Oberallgäu, Bregenzerwald-Riefensberg, Golf-Oberstaufen-Steibis, Golfclub Hellengerst).

Visitors can ride a unique diagonal elevator to the top of the Heini-Klopfer-Skiflugschanze.

Every year, Oberstdorf hosts the first part of famous Four Hills ski jump tournament.

In addition, there are many famous places of interest that invite you for a days visit. For example, fairy-tale castles built by Ludwig II, the former imperial town of Kempten, the venerable Fugger city of Augsburg and Munich, a city with metropolitan flair, are all nearby. Lindau and Mainau, both located at Lake Constance, are worthwhile visits too.
