Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has recently revealed their 2021 and 2022 itineraries for a few ships in their fleet. They’re planning on visiting 224 destinations in total, with 12 maiden calls to areas such as Bluff in New Zealand and M’Diq in Morocco.

What You Need To Know
The whole fleet will visit 73 countries across 93 different itineraries. The cruising durations range from three nights to 153 nights, meaning there’s the ideal duration for everyone, whether you’re looking for a weekend getaway or around-the-world cruise. The wide range of itineraries means you can choose from fly-cruises and cruises sailing out of the UK, from ports like Dover, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Newcastle and Southampton. The 12 maiden calls include two port towns in the South Island of New Zealand, Bluff and Picton, both known for having beautiful coastlines with cafés and maritime museums. There are also four new ports in Italy, from the city of Crotone that’s home to a 9th-century fortress, to the towns of Gallipoli, Milazzo and Monopoli that all feature spectacular cathedrals.
The other first-time ports are in Europe, from M’Diq in Morocco and Port d’Alcudia in Mallorca, to Setubal in Portugal, Trelleborg in Sweden and Savina in Formentera, one of Spain’s Balearic Islands. You can also look forward to docking in Sandakan in Borneo where you can take in views from the hilltop temples.
Balmoral
Balmoral has a new nine-night, Northern Fjords of Norway cruise that sets sail from Newcastle in August 2021. She’ll offer plenty of scenic sailing opportunities around the awe-inspiring Nordfjord, Trollfjord and Torghatten, a 258-metre-tall granite mountain. You’ll also pass the Svartisen glacier and call at a few lesser-known ports such as Bodø that showcases a handful of museums and Åndalsnes that’s great for avid hikers.
Black Watch
Black Watch will embark on an Around-The-World cruise on 8th January 2021, from Southampton. This 108-night cruise has plenty of highlights including, The Lost City of Petra in Jordan, which you can visit on a day trip from Aqaba. You’ll also visit the Panama Canal that’s said to be the eight modern wonder of the world and the spectacular Harbour Bridge in Sydney.
If you’re hoping to visit South America then why not book onto Black Watch’s 79-night Latin America with Chilean Fjords cruise? You’ll set off from Southampton and stop along the Mediterranean, before docking in Rio de Janeiro where you can see Christ the Redeemer and Sugar Loaf Mountain. Boudicca
In November 2021, Boudicca is taking on a 28-night transpacific fly-cruise, from Costa Rica to Auckland, stopping in French Polynesia along the way. You’ll cross over the largest ocean in the world and pass barely-populated islands including the highly-volcanic San Benedicto, Sorocco and Clarion that all make up the Revillagigedo Islands, located off of the coast of Mexico.
Following on from that, Boudicca is completing a 13-night New Zealand fly-cruise from Auckland to Sydney in December 2021. This sailing focusses on offering its guests a unique cultural experience from the fascinating Māori people to the Scottish New Zealanders. You’ll also be able to enjoy scenic cruising through Fiordland National Park, before exploring the astonishing Doubtful, Dusky and Milford Sounds.
Braemar

From April through to October 2021, Brabant will be sailing both the Rhine and the Danube, ranging from seven to 23 nights. Booking Reassurance Guarantee
Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has also announced a new Booking Reassurance Guarantee policy for guests who are concerned about their travel plans relating to Covid 19 (Coronavirus). This policy allows you to cancel your cruise, in return for a future cruise voucher to be used in the same departure year. This guarantee applies to all bookings made between 4th March and 5th May 2020.
