Sailing in the summer of 2020, Saga brings us their second brand new ship, Spirit of Adventure. As well as the fact she will be sailing from the UK, she has specifically been built to cater towards the British cruising market. What makes her stand out is the offering of a private balcony for every guest. So here is an insight into what you can expect from Spirit of Adventure.

Ship's Features
Starting out, she will have a maximum capacity of 999 passengers and 554 all-balcony cabins - 100 of which are dedicated to solo cruisers. You can still look forward to the same superb quality of service that you would expect on board any of Saga's vessels and excellent entertainment in the form of activities and performances. While on the topic of entertainment, the go-to venue throughout the night and day is the 420-seat Playhouse which hosts a number of shows. Otherwise, there are various spots around the ship such as the lounges, bars and restaurants to mingle with fellow travellers.
With the addition of four dining venues - instead of the standard two - Spirit of Adventure has taken speciality dining to a brand new level. You can expect the well-known main restaurant that serves an array of international dishes in a stylish setting, while the Grill is another popular choice for its alfresco dining option and freshly prepared meat, fish and vegetarian dishes.
The two new inclusions are Khukari and Amalfi. The former boasts being “the first Nepalese dining venue at sea” and is the perfect opportunity to break away from the norm and delve into a new culture. Amalfi takes the best of Italy and fuses it into one mouth-watering menu, making it the perfect spot for fans of Italian classics.

Where Will She Be Sailing?
Spirit of Adventure will start her sailing season with an inaugural cruise from Dover, visiting iconic ports including Stockholm, Sweden, St. Petersburg, Tallinn and Copenhagen. After her first sailing, she will sail out the UK (Southampton and Dover) to various popular cities all over Europe before returning for a 16-night Canary Islands Christmas cruise. There will be a mixture of long and short sailings between 4 and 31 nights, the longest of which will take guests to the Caribbean from the UK.
Finally, you can expect a 2:1 passenger-to-crew ratio on board and the usual add-ons that are included with any Saga sailing, such as 250-mile chauffer service, 24-hour room service and free Wi-Fi.
