Lying just 100km off the coast of Africa, there is a distinct North African influence which runs through the landscape and culture of Fuerteventura. Take a boat trip across to the Isle of Lobos and rest on the idyllic beach of La Concha, one inhabited by only monk seals, it is still a hive of unique birdlife and crystal clear waters. Alternatively, you can visit the most famous virgin beach in all of the Canary Islands, Cofete beach. With golden sand stretching over 12km with no development, Cofete is the perfect paradise.
Fuerteventura also has a diverse range of cultural attractions from museums and religious architecture, to historical monuments and local crafts.
