A town with a rich history, Edam is easily reached from Amsterdam and nearby Volendam. The monumental church of St Nicholas dominates the Edam landscape. It's stunning stained-glass windows bear coats of arms and historical scenes and date back to 1602.
Built in 1737, the City Hall reflects the Louis XIV style of the time, including a beautifully painted Magistrate;s Court which is open to the public.
