For wine fanatics it doesn’t get much better than relaxing at sea with friends and family, taking in the ocean views with a cold glass of your preferred tipple. If that’s you, be sure to check out some of our favourite wine bars at sea in the list below.

Celebrity Cruises – Cellar Masters

Celebrity Cruises Cellar Masters

Cellar Masters is a cosy, yet elegant, wine bar with a warm atmosphere. The substantial choice of wine ranges from all around the world and includes many popular choices as well as some unfamiliar bottles, which you should definitely try. The expert sommeliers will help you find your perfect wine, while you relax in the luxurious lounge. There are three different tasting sizes available.

This wine bar is on board several ships including Constellation, Eclipse, Infinity, Millennium, Reflection, Silhouette, Solstice and Summit. If you’re planning on cruising with Celebrity Cruises, make sure you choose one of these beautiful cruise ships and visit the famous Cellar Masters.

Oceania Cruises – La Reserve by Wine Spectator

Oceania Cruises La Reserve

Oceania Cruises has a partnership with Wine Spectator, the magazine specifically designed for wine connoisseurs. La Reserve offers guests a seven-course pairing menu, La Cuisine Bourgeoise, which links the selection of wines from your cruising region to the various available dishes. Make sure you’re in a position to take in the beautiful upper deck views while sipping on your glass of wine.

Both vintage tastings and wine seminars are held in this venue. During these seminars passengers can learn about the different wine glasses and how they can affect your wine tasting experience.

This public venue is only available on board Marina and Riviera, so book onto one of the Pacific, Mediterranean or Caribbean cruises to sample its delights.

P&O Cruises – The Glass House

The Glass House Britannia

The Glass House wine list includes 32 different types from all around the world, all chosen by TV presenter, sommelier and writer Olly Smith. Not only has he influenced the options, but the tasting experiences too. He has included pairings to allow you to enjoy a wide selection of dishes with perfectly matched drinks.

The largest Glass House is on board Britannia, currently P&O Cruises’ newest ship, and gives passengers a lovely view over the three-tiered Atrium whilst they enjoy a chilled glass of wine.

This venue is available on Aurora, Azura, Britannia, Ventura and will be present on board Iona when she arrives next year. So, if you’re planning on cruising with one of these ships, we’d highly recommend you pay a visit.

Princess Cruises – Vines

Princess Cruises

Vines is very popular with Princess Cruises’ guests, so make sure you check it out whenever you’re on board. It’s located at the heart of the ship, in the awe-inspiring Atrium, where daily performances can accompany your drink. Designed to look like a wine cellar, various wooden barrels and dim lighting complete the aesthetic.

Vines showcases a large collection of wine, including Tuscan reds and vintage and sparkling wines. If you don’t fancy purchasing a whole bottle, opt for a glass instead and pair it with delicious antipasti, sushi and tapas that will complement the notes carefully.

Vines is available on the majority of Princess Cruises’ ships.

Royal Caribbean – Vintages

Royal Caribbean Vinatges

Royal Caribbean’s Vintages has a cosy atmosphere due to its wooden furnishings and wine cellar feel. This is the perfect place to go to if you fancy a small or large glass, or bottle, of wine. The wide selection includes Pinot Grigio, Merlot and various other reds and whites, as well as some exclusive bottles – plenty to choose from.

There’s also numerous small dishes and tapas served alongside the various different wines, from cold meats and cheeses to hot dishes such as seafood and croquettes.

Vintages is on all Freedom, Oasis and Quantum Class ships, as well as Mariner of the Seas, Navigator of the Seas and Serenade of the Seas.
