Your afternoon visit will take in the Fort and a walking tour of the Old Clock Tower Market ahead of a cocktail evening at an exclusive venue before heading onward to Bikaner.
Today’s optional morning tour of the desert citadel of Bikaner precedes an afternoon visit to the formidable moat-encircled Junagarh Fort and a mouth-watering “Sundowner on the Dunes” barbeque with cocktails and traditional folk arts.
Arrive in Jaipur and after a grand traditional welcome you will discover the “Pink City” and a visit to the Amber Fort – a fascinating blend of Hindu and Mughal architecture, set in picturesque and rugged hills. The afternoon offers a selection of optional activities in which to participate, or some R&R in a 5-star spa.
Cameras at the ready as you reach Ranthambore and head out on safari to hopefully get the chance to spot a tiger or two, among other wildlife such as leopards and sloths. In the afternoon the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the deserted red city of Fatehpur Sikri will be revealed, before you revel in a traditional Indian Evening on board the train this evening.
The final leg of your luxury rail journey will take to you the undisputed jewel of India and Wonder of the World – the Taj Mahal. A Champagne breakfast will be served after your visit before you return to the train to head back to Delhi where your time on board will end after lunch. You will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel in India’s bustling capital.
