How long have you been working for Fred.\ River Cruises?
I have been working in the travel industry for 20 years. I started my career working at Thomas Cook Signature in the reservations department, selling long haul tailor-made holidays. Since then, I have also worked for Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines for their agency sales before moving over to work as a Travel Counsellor. I then joined the Fred.\ River Cruises team back in December 2018.
What, do you believe, makes river cruising unique?
The relaxed atmosphere on smaller ships, stop at a port or more each day and time to explore especially when there are overnight stays.
Which river cruise lines have you cruised with?
So far, I have been lucky enough to sail with Amadeus River Cruises on board the Amadeus Queen We sailed between from Amsterdam visiting Antwerp and Rotterdam.
Are there any rivers or regions that you would particularly recommend?
Having recently sailed the Dutch and Belgian Waterways, stopping in Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Antwerp, I can highly recommend this region. I have visited Amsterdam several times and I always love going back, next time I would also like to visit Keukenhof Gardens, which is available as an excursion on several of our itineraries. Antwerp was also a lovely city and the people are so friendly
What is your most memorable river cruising experience?
Sailing on the Amadeus Queen from Amsterdam. The ship is so beautiful, bright, modern and contemporary. With spacious cabins, and innovative drop-down French Balconies, spending time on board and watching the scenery go by was a great first experience on a River Cruise.
What are the unique factors of booking with Fred.\ River Cruises?
We can offer any river cruise, we have a vast programme, where there is a river we sail it! The customer service you will receive is also second to none.
