One of the most scenic and popular resorts in Austria, Zell am See is beautifully located on the shores of Lake Zell. The historical traffic-free village lies next to the Hohe Tauern National Park and the Grossglockner mountain range and boasts a host of leisure and sporting activities including cycling, mountain biking, water sports, golf, walking and many spa and wellness facilities. You can also visit the nearby thermal baths of Badgastein.

The Old Town of Zell am See has many historic buildings, such as St. Hippolyte's church. The Kastnerturm, which is part of the Zell am See skyline, is also worth a visit and is the oldest tower of the town. The Bavarian-style Castle Rosenberg is another interesting attraction, having been built in the 16th-century.
