Sweden

Exciting museums, shopping, lots of events and an amazing archipelago await you in Gothenburg. The archipelago stretches along the coast like a string of pearls and you don't have to travel far from the city to find charming villages, stunning nature and blissful beaches. The city itself is bursting with gardens, historic sites, beautiful churches and magnificent museums where you can see works by world famous artists, yet nature is always around the corner.

Göteborgs Konstmuseum (Gothenburg Art Museum)

Famous Swedish art from the 19th and 20th centuries. The gallery is also known for its collection of works by 19th and 20th-century Scandinavian artists like Anders Zorn and Carl Larsson, Edvard Munch and Christian Krohg.

Slottsskogen (Castle Park)

With 110 hectares (272 acres), this is the largest park in Gothenburg and it's perfect for a picnic on a summer day.

Botaniska Trädgården (Botanical Garden)

This park is Gothenburg's oasis of beauty and is, in fact, the most dramatic cultivated area of nature in western Sweden. The botanical gardens were first opened to the public in 1923 and have been improved considerably over the years with better landscaping and more stunning plantings.

Other Activities
