On this exclusive 19-night Rail & Sail package you will make your way by rail to the beautiful Balkans on a comprehensive journey to join your Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines' Cruise, through Germany, Slovenia and Croatia, taking in many of the must-see destinations, with included excursions and optional excursions to enrich your experience further.
For the land part of your tour you'll be based in Ljubljana, Zagreb, Split and Dubrovnik with included excursions to Lake Bled, Julian Alps and Bohinj, as well as Plitvice Lakes National Park. Plus the option to add on Postojna Caves or the Croatian Islands - or a day trip out of the EU into Bosnia Herzegovina.
You will then board your vessel Balmoral in Dubrovnik, and sail the Aegean sea on your Greek Islands Odyssey cruise, flying home at the end.

Postojna Cave and Predjama Castle from Ljubliana - £190 per person
Visit Slovenia’s Postojna Cave and Predjama Castle from Ljubljana without the bother of using public buses or trains. Admire the scenery as you travel to Postojna by air-conditioned vehicle, and hear background from your guide en route. Then, roam the stalactite- and stalagmite-filled caverns by underground train and foot as you hear their history before exploring 13th-century Predjama Castle, built into cliffs. Entry fees included.
Blue Cave and Hvar Tour - 5 Islands Tour from Split - £120 per person
Discover the spellbinding natural phenomenon of the Blue Cave on a full-day excursion by speedboat from Split. Take a boat over the waters of the Adriatic Sea to the Blue Cave, a coastal wonder famed the aquamarine light within. Marvel at the spectral display of sunlight and then head to the charming seaside village of Komiza for a sightseeing tour before swimming in Stiniva Cove and Budikovac Island. About 90 miles (145 kilometers) from Dubrovnik, the historic town of Mostar is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with the Old Bridge (Stari Most) particularly famous. It’s too far for a day trip using public transport, but this small-group tour makes it easy, with pick-up and drop-off at your hotel and a guide to show you the old town highlights.
