The Sava is situated in Central Europe and is the largest tributary to the mighty Danube.

The Sava is situated in central Europe and, although it is not as well-known as some of the other major rivers, it is the largest tributary to the mighty Danube. During its course, the Sava flows through Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia as well as acting as the border between the latter and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It rises in the nature reserve of Zelenci Springs, close to the Italian and Austrian borders, before travelling 615 miles to meet with the aforementioned Danube in Belgrade. This is just one of three capital cities that the Sava flows through; the others being Ljubljana and Zagreb. As well as being used for fish farming, water from the river powers hydroelectric power stations and cools thermoelectric and nuclear plants throughout Slovenia. Its water serves people in six different countries and even reaches those living in the northern parts of Albania.

The Sava is navigable by river ships between Sisak and Belgrade. As well as these two ports, you’ll also visit places such as Slavonski Brod, Brcko and Sremska Mitrovica. Along the way, you’ll get to discover peaceful Boroque towns, visit citadels and monasteries, admire Ottoman influences and even learn about Serbian art. Your Sava River cruise may also include time sailing the nearby Tisza River, another important Danube tributary.

Hotel Jardín Tecina

The Hotel Jardín Tecina is a peaceful, picturesque resort located on the idyllic island of La Gomera.  A Canary Island holiday is a great choice all year round, thanks to the enviable climate we enjoy here from January through to December. As you gaze off into the blue horizon, where the Atlantic meets a cloudless sky, your view will be dominated by Mount Teide on the neighbouring island of Tenerife.

Although La Gomera has plenty to see and do, you won’t even need to leave the resort if you don’t want to. We have fantastic facilities in the form swimming pools and other sports activities, as well as a comprehensive spa to help you relax and unwind. Our kid’s club is on hand to help entertain the little ones and when it comes to mealtimes there are plenty of opportunities to try the local cuisine in our range of bars and restaurants. Not forgetting, of course, our impressive 18-hole golf course which winds its way along the cliff-top, offering breath-taking views at every turn.

So come and experience the tranquil atmosphere at the Hotel Jardín Tecina. You’ll enjoy blissful surroundings, fantastic service and return home rested and rejuvenated.
