Saar
The river Saar is a major tributary of the Moselle and flows through north-western France before entering into Germany.

The river Saar is a major tributary of the Moselle and flows through north-western France before entering into Germany. Its source can be found high up in the Vosges Mountains and it travels over 150 miles before it meets the Moselle close to Trier.

One of the most famous parts of the river is known as the Saar Loop. In this picturesque area, found at the German town of Mettlach, the river turns almost completely back on itself, creating an excellent photo opportunity and a chance to soak up the scenery. Contrasting with this is the Völklingen Ironworks, which has been given World Heritage status by UNESCO. Situated upriver from the Saar Loop, the ironworks played an important role in European industry during the 1900s and has now been turned into a science museum that shows how iron is made.

The most likely place you will visit on your Saar River cruise is Saarbrucken, although you may also get to visit Saarburg. The former is home to a great zoo and the Saarland museum, whilst the latter is a beautiful village with a quaint waterfall and a castle that offers excellent views.

Hotel Jardín Tecina

The Hotel Jardín Tecina is a peaceful, picturesque resort located on the idyllic island of La Gomera.  A Canary Island holiday is a great choice all year round, thanks to the enviable climate we enjoy here from January through to December. As you gaze off into the blue horizon, where the Atlantic meets a cloudless sky, your view will be dominated by Mount Teide on the neighbouring island of Tenerife.

Although La Gomera has plenty to see and do, you won’t even need to leave the resort if you don’t want to. We have fantastic facilities in the form swimming pools and other sports activities, as well as a comprehensive spa to help you relax and unwind. Our kid’s club is on hand to help entertain the little ones and when it comes to mealtimes there are plenty of opportunities to try the local cuisine in our range of bars and restaurants. Not forgetting, of course, our impressive 18-hole golf course which winds its way along the cliff-top, offering breath-taking views at every turn.

So come and experience the tranquil atmosphere at the Hotel Jardín Tecina. You’ll enjoy blissful surroundings, fantastic service and return home rested and rejuvenated.
