Remote Trekking at it's best

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?

I particularly enjoyed reaching the Malrif and Mézan Lakes. A turquoise blue body of water just short of 3,000m on the 2nd day. It was a spectacular lunch spot.

What did you think of your group leader?

Yves is a extremely knowledgeable and passionate leader. He knows the Queyras inside out and he was a brilliant guide. He often gave us the option to extend or shorten walks on each day due to his intimate knowledge of the area.

Do you have any advice for potential travellers?

In Saint Veran Village, the restaurants can find it difficult to cater for large groups. I would recommend opting for the mountain refuge 3 course dinner (15 EUR) or booking a table in advance. I would recommend to try a framboise tart at Refuge Napolean, Col de Vars.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

I do not normally use poles, however due to the long ascents and descents on this trip I would recommend poles as a good item to bring. I found this trip very enjoyable and I highly recommend this trip.
