Exciting walking in a less-visited area of the alps
What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
Reaching some of the trickier summits - Rocca Bianca and Pain de Sucre. It was also great to see so many marmots.
What did you think of your group leader?
Yves (and his assistant Flo) was a very skilled leader; he gave us many tips on how to best cope with the tougher patches of terrain, and was always ready to help anyone who had any difficulties. His briefings on each day's activities were always very clear, so we knew exactly what to expect.
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
Space for luggage in some of the gites is very limited, so it's a good idea to pack light. The picnic lunches provided by the gites are very filling and quite varied, and nearly all of us opted for those rather than buying our own provisions. Some of the gites have wifi and most have somewhere to charge phones etc, but not enough sockets for everyone in the group to use at the same time.
