Sun, Sea and Sulfur

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?

Strombili was spectacular but my vote goes to the whole group. Complete strangers at the start but everyone was friendly and welcoming right from the beginning and this really added to the whole experience.

What did you think of your group leader?

Tancredi was fun outgoing and wherever we went he seemed to know everyone there, Allessandro was friendly, always helpful and both were knowledgeable.

Do you have any advice for potential travellers?

Pack some old swimmers if you go for a therapeutic soak in the mud pool on Vulcano and then throw them away after use. Or at least don’t pack them with the rest of your laundry unless you want everything to smell of sulfur.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

Take a good camera to photograph the lava on Stromboli or if you don’t have one just sit back and enjoy the experience. Also, this was my first time using walking poles and although not essential for the trip they can help.
