CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING: TRINS & THE THREE VALLEYS

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?

The return after seven years to Trins, now as Grade two skiers, meant we were able to enjoy the full circuit on two days at Maria Waldrast. The diference here is that instead of looking up at the mountains from the valley bottom you can look down at the valley from the summit, absolutely brilliant.

What did you think of your group leader?

"Uncle" Bob Mason is the business, he knows everything there is to know about the Trins area and must surely have earned the right to citizenship by now. He was a great tutor and leader and very patient with my enthusiasm to photograph everything.

Do you have any advice for potential travellers?

If you have not been there already then just go to Trins and enjoy the variety of runs available. Maria Waldrast is very special but do be patient with the monastic pace of life in the servery....

Is there anything else you would like to add?

The hotel is very friendly with excellent meals and comfortable rooms. Afternoon tea and cake is a bonus. We were glad  to have a very good group of fellow skiers and the 1's and 2's all mixed in well. The hire  equipment is not as good as at other Exodus centres. Glad we had our own boots.
