Amalfi Coast and Herculaneum

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?

Being in Pompeii on a free day. What an amazing place. it still feels alive.

What did you think of your group leader?

Good, very willing to help.

Do you have any advice for potential travellers?

The trip may say its relaxing but its not. Well only if you like dashing from place to place with not enough time to really see and hang out in them. Add days on at the end to relax in. Ocotber is a brilliant time to go. Its less busy and a nice temprature 25 ish so seeing the sights and walking up Vesuvius were lovely rather than a trial in the heat. Dont go to Capri, that was a disappointing waste of a day. Expensive, very very busy even in October and sea sickness thrown in. Amalfi, Ravello and Positano are just as nice, less busy and no boat.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

We spent ages waiting at the airport for every one to gather that was pretty tedious. I think a plan for those waiting a while like a free coffee in the nice cafe there would help. I know you rank this as leisurely since we are not climbing to everest base camp. BUT its NOT leisurely. I dont like every second of my time organised and very often rushed. It doesn't feel like value for money, it feels stressful. We couldn't even make the most of the fabulous guide at Herculaneum as he had not been given enough time to show us around. Disappointed in that.
