HISTORIC ANDALUCIA

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?

Not exactly inspirational, but I really enjoyed learning about tapas and sherry.  I rarely eat spanish food or drink sherry so was happy to learn more about them - and eating and drinking them of course !

What did you think of your group leader?

Chris Burke was very pleasant.  He had a calm and reassuring way about him.  He was very amusing in a quiet sort of way.  He was knowledgeable about the area and history of Andalucia.  He was clearly a very experienced tour leader, was good with the group and knew the kind of information to give that would be helpful.  I'd be happy to have him as a tour leader again.

Do you have any advice for potential travellers?

While this is a leisurely trip, there is a fair bit of walking and a fair number of hills to walk up and down in the towns and villages as well as some walking amongst the olive groves and over rough ground - so not exactly undemanding.  I'd recommend being physically able for a good walk and bring sturdy shoes with grips! On our free day, we took a trip to Granada to see the Alhambra.  Buy tickets online in advance, as it's very busy.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

If you like a bit of walking and a bit of sight-seeing as well as good food and drink, I'd highly recommend this trip.
