Munich Opera Festival

Taking place in the Bavarian capital, the Munich Opera Festival commences yearly between late June and late July. Founded almost 140 years ago, this international festival, which is also known as Opernfestspiele, showcases the very best of opera from Germany around the world.

The event is held over a series of venues including the Nationaltheater,  Prinzregententheater, Cuvilliés-Theater and the Allerheiligen-Hofkirche. Each day will see a different opera performed throughout the city, with examples including La Bohème, La Juive and Tosca.
