Vilnius City Breaks
If Vilnius is not a city you are currently familiar with then it is time to learn more about the Lithuanian capital. The Old Town has been granted world heritage status by UNESCO, the city was classified as the European Capital of Culture in 2009 and the surrounding scenery and array of classical buildings make it very pleasing on the eye. As well as the numerous churches and cathedrals, such as the Vilnius cathedral, there are plenty of greener areas to enjoy as well, the largest of which being the newly redesigned Bernardini Garden.
Lithuania is unlikely to be the most obvious destination for many holidaymakers, but those choosing to enjoy a Vilnius city break will be able to concur that it is definitely one that should be considered more.
Our wide range of European destinations includes familiar cities and those that the majority of people will not have visited before. Take a look at our Florence city breaks to plan an insightful trip to Italy.
