Grote Markt (market place)

Free from traffic, this place belongs to one of the most attractive parts of the town and hosts the famous Belfry Tower as well as the Cloth Hall.

Basilica of the Holy Blood

This wonderful Gothic church hosts a relic - a vial of blood that is said be that of Jesus. Don't forget to go and see the Romanesque chapel underneath.

Onze Lieve Vrouwkerk

Another beautiful church, which features architecture from Romanesque and Gothic periods. The church also hosts the famous 'Madonna with child' sculpture by Michelangelo.

Diamond Museum

This museum illustrates the history of Bruges as the oldest diamond centre in Europe. Today, diamonds remain one of Belgium's most important export products. The daily demonstration of diamond cutting is a sparkling affair.

Canal Boat Trips

Often called the 'Venice of the North', a boat trip taking in age-old houses and picturesque bridges will be an enjoyable experience.
