After the tour ends you will have free time to explore further returning to the hotel at your leisure.

Today, after breakfast walk to the meeting point and start your tour by bus to Piazza Venezia. Here you will continue on foot to the famous Piazza del Campidoglio designed by Michelangelo, where you can admire wonderful views of the Roman Forum. Later travel to the Aventine hill and the glorious Circus Maximus. Admire the beautiful statue of Moses by Michelangelo, at the Basilica di San Pietro in Vincoli, and from there, in 5 minutes, you can reach the symbol of the eternal city: the majestic Coliseum. Day 4
Rome/Naples/Pompeii/Rome

After breakfast walk to the meeting point and start your tour by bus via the Austostrada del Sole, heading south, you will journey through the green Roman countryside. Halfway you will see the Abbey of Montecassino, famous for the great battle of World War II. Then you will reach the port of Mergellina and, walking along the promenade, will pass Santa Lucia, an old fishing district, where Castel del Ovo is located. You will leave the city travelling through the fertile valley of Vesuvius to reach Pompeii, where you will have lunch. In the afternoon, always accompanied by your guide, your archaeological tour of the old town will start (approximately 2 hours). Buried under a layer of ashes and affected by an unexpected eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD, Pompeii was brought back to life after almost 1,700 years, and after all these years you can still enjoy the magical and dark atmosphere of those terrible moments. At the end of tour you will start your trip back to Rome, but first you will visit a former factory of cameos and corals. The tour ends at the meeting point closest to the hotel. After the tour ends you will have free time to explore further returning to the hotel at your leisure.

Day 5
Rome (the Vatican Museums)

After breakfast walk to the meeting point and start your tour visiting Piazza della Repubblica, with the central Fountain of Naiades, and then Piazzale Flaminio where you will see Piazza Popolo, the old gate to the capital from the north, and the central Egyptian obelisk dating back to the time of Ramesses II. Then, through the Vatican walls, you will enter the Vatican Museums. A guide will take you to the beautiful helical staircase to admire the Gallery of Tapestries and the Gallery of Maps, finally arriving at the Sistine Chapel, with the wonderful fresco of the Last Judgment, by Michelangelo. At the end of the tour, you may decide to stay within the museum a little longer or take the transfer back to the meeting point. After the tour ends you will have free time to explore further returning to the hotel at your leisure
