Itinerary

Day 1
Depart UK

Depart the UK on your flight to Munich, upon arrival transfer to your hotel followed by a walking tour of the city. Munich, home to the famous Oktoberfest, is also one of the most important cities in German history and culture. Starting at the Karlstor, you will pass by the church St. Michael, where the remains of "Mad King" are kept, the Marienplatz square with the City Hall and its famous carillon, the Frauenkirche along with many other attractions in the historic centre.

Day 2
Munich – Oberammergau

Today after breakfast journey to Oberammergau and enjoy a city tour before spending the rest of the day at leisure.

Oberammergau

Today visit the village of Oberammergau for your Passion Play Experience.

Day 4
Oberammergau – Linz

In the afternoon we cross the Austrian border to the city of Linz, a picturesque town on the banks of the Danube River where we enjoy a walking city tour.

Day 5
Linz – Dürstein – Vienna

After breakfast enjoy a short stop at the village of Dürnstein, nestled in the heart of the magnificent Wachau Valley. The charming town of Dürnstein offers a unique combination of breath-taking scenery and traditional architecture. It was in the Kuenringer Castle, whose ruins still overlook Dürnstein, that the English King Richard Lionheart was held prisoner. Then on to Vienna, the magnificent capital of Austria.

Day 6
Vienna

Today a sightseeing tour of Vienna. Passing the Opera House, Hofburg Palace, Heroes Gate, Parliament, the Council and more. In the afternoon explore Vienna further at your leisure.

Day 7
Vienna – Lake District- Salzburg

In the morning continue to the Lake District and ascend to Mount Zwölferhorn by cable car to enjoy wonderful views over the Lake Wolfgang. Next we continue to the city of Salzburg, where the genius composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born. Here we enjoy a sightseeing tour with examples of breath-taking Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque artistry. Our visit also includes the world famous Mirabell Gardens and we see the house where Mozart grew up.

Salzburg

Salzburg is the fourth largest city in Austria. The city offers the perfect combination of a picturesque mountain setting and a beautifully preserved old town. The historic centre is dominated by many church spires, medieval fortresses and the magnificent Hohensalzburg Fortress. The spirit of Mozart still permeates the city.

Salzburg

Today your journey ends as you transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
