Day 1
UK - Frankfurt - Würzburg

Start your journey by travelling from Frankfurt to Würzburg. Along the way you can stop and visit Mespelbrunn Castle. Würzburg, is a pretty town on the banks of the Main River, surrounded by historical vineyards. Here you can wander the many sights includings one of the highlights of Würzburg, the Residenz Palace.

Day 2
Würzburg - Rothenburg ob der Tauber

The German Romantic Road is one of the biggest magnets for tourism in the southern provinces of Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg. This famous route to Füssen begins in Würzburg. Today, depart for the city of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in Romantic Germany.

Day 3
Rothenburg ob der Tauber - Dinkelsbühl - Augsburg

This morning, you will startt by travelling to Dinkelsbühl, an idyllic medieval town with 16 towers. Afterwards, continue on to the city of Nördlingen, and explore the old city wall that surrounds the lovely medieval city center. This is the only ancient city wall in Germany which has been completely preserved.

Then you can continue on to Augsburg, a town famous in the Middle Ages for the amazing craftsmanship of its silversmiths and goldsmiths.

Day 4
Augsburg - Füssen - Neuschwanstein

Travel to Füssen, the most southern point of the Romantic Road. Here you have the chance to visit the fairytale Neuschwanstein Castle, built by “Mad King“, Luis II, the castle served as the inspiration to Walt Disney’s castle of Sleeping Beauty.

You can also visit the Wieskirche church, a UNESCO World Heritage monument, before fully exploring the sites of the small town of Füssen.

Day 5
Füssen - Linderhof - Oberammergau - Munich - UK

In the morning you will visit Linderhof Castle. This is one of the 3 castles built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria and the only one where he lived for a significant amount of time. Then continue to Oberammergau, a picturesque town famous for its annual Passion Play.
