Day 1

Arrive at your pre-tour accommodation in Lille and enjoy the rest of your day at leisure.

Day 2
Lille – Ypres

We begin our tour at Messines Ridge and Polygon Wood. Wedwell for a time at Tyne Cot, a Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery and Memorial to the Missing. Then we walk in the shadows of soldiers around the Hooge Crater Trenches and Museum. As our first day closes, we visit Menin Gate in Ypres to reflect at the moving Last Post Ceremony. (B)

Day 3
Lille – Ypres

Our second day in Ypres brings us to Pheasant Wood Cemetery at Fromelles. Afterwards, we make our way to the Wellington Quarry to discover the tunnels. In late afternoon, we visit the evocative Digger Memorial.(B, D)

Day 4
Anzac Dawn Ceremony

It’s a very early start as we leave our hotel in time for the Dawn Ceremony at the Australian War Memorial in Villers-Bretonneux. The service will be an unforgettable and emotive experience, which we share with the locals and fellow Australians and New Zealanders who have journeyed here to pay tribute to those brave ANZAC soldiers who fought for the town. After such an early start the rest of the day is at leisure for you to explore the town or relax as you choose. (B)

Day 5
Amiens – The Somme – Amiens

As we come to The Somme, our guided tour takes in Pozières and Mouquet Farm. Longueval and Thiepval Memorial are poignant places to mark the end of day three. (B, D)

Day 6
Amiens – Villersbretonneux – Lille

We spend most of today in Villers-Bretonneux. Here we pay a visit to the Australian National Memorial and the Franco-Australian Museum. The final chapter of our tour takes us to the Australian Corps Memorial Park. We part from each other in Lille, having come full circle. (B)
