5 days of tuition and one free day. This week we get instruction in both classic and skating techniques. The classic tuition focuses on improving our technique and consists of a mix of instruction in the morning and touring in the afternoon, giving us the opportunity to explore the loipe. We prefer not to specify in advance where we will ski each day. This is to enhance the flexibility and adapt to weather and snow conditions and to some extent the ability of each group. When choosing routes, the leader's priority will be to take in a variety of scenery and to ensure that participants become better and more confident skiers as the week progresses. A selection of easy tracks is available for learning or revising the basics before moving on to more varied terrain, such as circuits to Mosern, or up to Wildmoosalm where many kilometres of loipe explore silent forests. The Leutasch Valley is off to the northwest, and here we can ski a further network of easy and moderate tracks. Several longer, more challenging days are possible by linking some of the more difficult routes, parts of which constitute previous Olympic and World Cup circuits. The scenery is outstanding, with snow-capped mountains of the Karwendal and Wetterstein ranges providing an inspiring backdrop.

Day 5

The free day will usually be today, although the leader may organise the days differently to make the most of the snow and weather conditions. Seefeld offers a variety of winter activities to try such as downhill skiing or winter walking (to arrange locally) or you can relax at the indoor swimming pool, or head to Innsbruck for the day.

We conclude the week in the circuits around Mosern, or up to Wildmoosalm where many kilometres of loipe explore silent forests.
