Christmas Market

Fred.\ Holidays have a great selection of Christmas Markets to spectacular cities throughout Germany and the rest of Europe!

Christmas Markets in Bruges

The Bruges Christmas markets are popular with tourists from the UK as the nearby city of Brussels is served by the Eurostar and provides many accommodation options making the destination the perfect choice for a winter break.

There can't be many settings more beautiful than medieval Bruges, with its delightful old centre, which was added to the UNESCO's World Heritage List, lined with cobbled streets, historic buildings and horse-drawn-carriages plodding by. An abundance of further attractions such as charming canals and many tempting shops guarantee you a fabulous time.

After a hard day's shopping, indulge in Belgian delights and hearty gastronomic cuisine in one of the many bars and cafes or visit one of the cosy tap rooms, to be found throughout the city.

Known as the Venice of the North, Bruges is one of the most picturesque cities in Europe. There are few Christmas markets in Bruges more popular with visitors than the winter wonderland in the Old Town and the extravagant market near the Belfry tower.

Don't miss a visit to one of the famous, traditional chocolate stores where you can sample and buy the delicious hand-made Christmas chocolates. A true festive treat for all the family!

Soak up the festive ambience in medieval Bruges with various seasonal highlights such as the ice rink in front of the famous Belfry Tower or a Christmas Hobby and Toy Fair. Several small illuminated Christmas markets are to be found on Market Square and Simon Stevinplein hosting beautiful little stalls displaying their individual yuletide gifts and specialities.
